Published in 1973, ’73–’74: An Annual of New Art and Artists is an international survey of emerging contemporary art, edited by influential Dutch designer and museum director Willem Sandberg, with an introduction by American art historian Sam Hunter.

Fifteen international artists, curators and critics, including Harald Szeemann, Pontus Hultén and Achille Bonito Oliva, were invited to select artists they considered significant at the time. The resulting book captures an important moment in early-1970s conceptual and experimental art, featuring more than 50 artists including Alighiero Boetti, Christian Boltanski, Marcel Broodthaers, Hanne Darboven, Jan Dibbets, Hamish Fulton, Per Kirkeby, Richard Long and Panamarenko.

Illustrated throughout in colour and black and white, it's an interesting period document of artists who were then presented as a new generation, many of whom later became major figures in contemporary art.

Original copy from Manchester polly technique. Complete with cool library stamps.
