Décembre Storage Container - Small

Vintage Finnish storage container produced by Décembre, the design company founded by Marimekko founder Armi Ratia in 1970. Décembre was established to develop interior objects and accessories alongside Marimekko, with Ristomatti Ratia acting as its principal designer.

Made in Finland by Karhumuovi, the container pairs a simple transparent cylindrical body with a brightly coloured lid. Produced in several colours and sizes, these functional plastic objects capture the bold, straightforward approach to colour and everyday living associated with Finnish design of the period. Museum examples are documented with the markings “décembre, Made in Finland, by Karhumuovi.”
